The Central Transaction Monitoring System delivers this solution and much more by actively allowing transactions to be compared against a set of predefined rules real-time and still providing flexibility enough for human Users to view transactions flagged as suspicious when compared against these predefined rules in more details as they pass through the system. |
Overview of the Central Transaction Monitoring System (CTMS) |
When a transaction is initiated via a Branch, ATM, POS or an Internet Banking source this transactions are checked against a set of predefined rules and are either tagged as Suspicious or Non-Suspicious transactions. |
Non-Suspicious Transactions are allowed to proceed with their normal course of flow while Suspicious Transactions are routed to the Control Center where they will be viewed in details by Control Center Users who either marks the transaction declined or resolved after due diligence. |
A Control Center (CC) is not necessarily a ‘Mortar and Brick front’ but a logical set of Users with different roles. A Control Center could be based anywhere in the world and can handle transactions originating from only preconfigured channels or branches. |
